Ideal for publications with a lower page count, saddle stitching uses staples through the centre fold to securely hold the pages together, producing a neat booklet that is lightweight, easy to handle and cost-effective.
Our saddle stitched booklets are printed, folded, collated and finished in-house at Peterborough Print, helping us maintain control over quality and provide a fast turnaround for both short and larger print runs.
Unlike perfect binding, which creates a square glued spine and is better suited to thicker publications, saddle stitching is ideal when you want a slimmer, flexible booklet. It is also generally more economical for lower page counts and opens more easily than a perfect bound book.

Page Counts
Saddle stitched booklets are made from folded sheets, so the total number of pages must be a multiple of 4. They are particularly well suited to lower and medium page counts where a perfect bound spine isn't required.
Cover & Inner Pages
Choose from a range of paper stocks for the inner pages, with the option of a self-cover booklet, where the cover uses the same paper as the inside pages, or a heavier card cover for a more substantial finish.
Booklets can be printed in full colour or black and white, depending on your requirements.
